1938 – THE STUDY TRIP
In January 1938, a grant enabled Tove to return to Paris to study. She wandered the city, sketching and gobbling up the works of Rembrandt, Titian, van Dyck and Rubens. At Montparnasse, she followed the routes her parents had travelled in their youth. She acquainted herself with a variety of art schools, but left her studies for a painting trip, hiking through Brittany’s inspiring scenery.
