Murals
During an intense creative period in the 1940s and 1950s, Tove Jansson painted monumental murals for public spaces. These large-scale works reflect her vision of an idyllic world and offer glimpses into her rich fantasy realm, which she envisioned during the dark wartime years. The wall paintings were executed using various techniques across Finland.
